Frequently asked questions.

What year levels are the workshops suitable for?

Our public speaking and speech writing workshops are designed for students in Years 7–12, with content adapted appropriately for the lower and upper range of these year levels. The workshops are designed for groups of up to 55 students but sessions can be split where bigger groups (or entire cohorts) are attending.

How long does the workshop run?

Finding Your Voice speaking workshops run at three lengths: 50 mins, 1hr 50mins, and 2hrs 45mins. They are designed to fit into individual and double school periods. Longer workshops are best suited to after school sessions or half day leadership incursions.

Do students get hands-on speaking practice?

Absolutely. The public speaking workshops are designed to be high energy and very interactive as students learn best by doing. In every workshop length students are taught the skills of powerful speaking and are given the opportunity to immediate practice those skills in front of a group. In the Flagship 3-hour workshop students are also taught a speech-writing methodology called the “SPEAK model” which they use to quickly structure and write a speech that they deliver at the climax of the workshop.

Do you travel to regional WA schools?
